Quotes and proformas

Check that it is approved. A draft, pending, rejected or expired quote is not ready for conversion.

If it has already been converted, open the linked invoice instead of creating another. Review the customer, lines and taxes before issuing the resulting invoice.

Quotes can only be edited in draft. To prepare a new proposal, duplicate it and review the new draft.

Duplicating does not change the previous proposal. Check dates, amounts and validity before sharing the new version with your customer.

A pending quote becomes expired after its expiry date. This does not mean the customer has paid or that an invoice exists.

If the work is going ahead, prepare a current proposal and confirm acceptance before converting it.

A proforma has its own lifecycle and does not replace a sales invoice. It must be accepted before conversion.

Conversion preserves its commercial details. Check the resulting invoice and complete issuance, delivery and collection as separate steps.
