MCP and external assistants

Add Factuarea’s MCP server in a compatible client and authorise it with your account. Review the company, Test or Live environment and granted permissions.

The remote connection uses Factuarea’s consent flow. You do not need to paste an API key into the conversation. Client-specific steps are in the connection guide.

Check the company and environment you authorised. Consent defaults to Live. To experiment, explicitly select Test.

If you authorised another company or environment, review the connection again. Typing another company’s name in chat does not switch the authorised data or permissions.

Available tools depend on granted permissions and accessible modules. Reading and writing are different permissions.

Review the connection and grant the needed operation only if you want to allow it. Document status also matters. Broad authorisation does not allow editing an issued invoice.

No. The built-in assistant is used inside Factuarea. MCP lets a compatible external application work with your account’s authorised tools.

The external client has its own interface and terms. To avoid duplicates, check each action’s result before repeating a request that received no response.
